This charming country cottage is 720 square feet in size with an additional 300 sq. ft. covered open deck. The cottage has large windows for outdoor views, a large bedroom with queen size bed, and a TV with Dish Network as the satellite server; bath with tub and shower; kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and small appliances -- granite countertop and bar; recliners in the living area for comfort, rest and relaxation; desk for computer work and letter writing; washer and dryer; outdoor patio furniture, and grill and garden areas, where you can enjoy the fresh air and the views. The deck overlooks a creek and hillside where you will see horses, cattle and wildlife; and last, but not least, flocks of birds can be heard and viewed by our bird lovers. Bring your camera!!
You can cook or outdoor grill your own meals, or if you want a dining treat, we suggest that you visit Rose Hill Manor, only a 10-15 minute drive from us. If you want to swim and/or play tennis, the LBJ Park is only 10-15 minutes from here. Please check out the page, “ABOUT US” to get distances to Fredericksburg and other surrounding towns. A 1.8 mile private caliche road leads to this cottage. Drive slowly and enjoy all the wildlife that you will see run across the road while en-route to the cottage -- foxes, raccoons, possums, rabbits, deer, an occasional porcupine, and Texas armadillos. This is real country life at its finest!!
Construction is complete, and the landscaping is being developed. This vacation spot should be ready for guests by mid-March to April 2012. Pictures and more information are coming soon.
